[Photo of Western Terminus] Welcome to California! The Lincoln Highway in the Golden State follows a variety of paths. While exploring the highway, you may find yourself on the 1913–27 route through the San Joaquin Valley and the Altamont Pass, or on the 1927–28 route across the Carquinez Strait. The Lincoln Highway guided travelers through both the Donner Pass and Echo Summit in the Sierras. You'll never run out of adventures or surprises on these routes. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Chapter Meetings

The California chapter meets four times a year to conduct chapter business, visit historic sites, share lunch at an historic eatery, or listen to speakers on highway-related subjects. Visitors are always welcome.

The Traveler Newsletter

The California chapter publishes The Traveler newsletter each quarter. Each issue include local and national association news and updates on ongoing interpretation and preservation efforts, as well as in-depth looks at current and historical events along the highway.
